Who needs a Dollar Store when you could buy chuck roast at 37 cents a pound, 3 pounds of hamburger meat for $1.35 and potatoes in a 20 pound bag for 99 cents? And... they gave out Plaid Stamps (remember those?) Somewhere in America. 1961.

Train tracks deep in the heart of New Jersey by late afternoon light. Two chemical cars in the background. I was down there over the weekend and this view caught my eye. The place reminded me of a similar photo from 1973 shown below. Jan 2021
