My malaise era 1979 Pontiac Sunbird with which I had a love-hate relationship. Parked by the Hudson River near the gates to the abandoned Gair Paper Co factory. This was in Piermont NY before any gentrification began. March 1986.

Welcome to the 1960s! Before any anti-pollution laws, this was a common sight. Additionally, factories poured untreated waste chemicals into rivers and belched black smoke into the air. Younger people don't realize how much we've cleaned up since then.

Sis admires my 1968 Pontiac Firebird just weeks after I bought it. This was a "rough original version" of a car I've craved since 4th grade. Finally, after months of searching in the mid 1990s, I found one that was in semi-decent shape. July 1995.
