Red Squirel ! Life is starting to pick up the pace now that warmer temps are prevailing . I can't speak squirelish but all the chatter he was hurling at me i'm sure was complimentary.

On the southeast side of the preserve they were doing a controled burn . The ash acts as a nutrient for the soil and promotes future growth in the area of the burn while controling some of the unwanted growth.

The migratory birds are starting to arrive. American Woodcock ! This was at the north end of the preserve.

Ice Crystals covering everything ! Turned the mundane into a wonderland . A star filter would have made this even more sureal . I have one but I am not sure where it is at . I still have a few boxes to go through from the furnace explosion .
