jangurney: (DSC_0256) My 215 year old tea set. I am the 7th owner since 1802. It started in Reeth, Yorkshire, spent time in Alston and came to NZ in 1879 by Mary Vipond my gg grandmother.
jangurney: Church Gate, Mary Hounam (my ggg grandmothers sister) once lived here, Alston, England (also my dinnerset)
jangurney: This was the first house in Scotland where my gg grandparents William Vipond & Mary Carr eloped to to get married at Gretna Green in 1848. They came to NZ in 1882 where William died 10 days later.
jangurney: Reeth, Yorkshire Dales, another ancestral town. (How I wish I could revisit Britain again)
jangurney: Whats left of the entrance of the Old St James Church in Dover, England which is where my gg grandparents (Elizabeth Terry and John Cole) got married in 1853. They had a very sad life. Their eldest son John Terry Cole came to NZ)
jangurney: Oamaru Gardens. Maybe this poet is related to me, will have to check her out on ancestry.
