These little critters are Tuberolachnus salignus aphid and are only 6mm long. They were only found in NZ 3 years ago and like sucking the sap from willow trees.

DSC_0207 - After 5 days of heavy rain this fellow has survived but just can't shake off the last of it. He will become a monarch butterfly.
