This is the first time I’ve seen a Tufted Duck and I was lucky enough to see them simply hanging around; I didn’t even need to try hard. It was a fleeting moment on a walk, but nice nonetheless!

It’s the time of the Robin (unofficially I guess) and they are everywhere This one was going in and out of this bare hedge. The steep blue fall off is because I was practically shouldering the hedge. Taken with the Sony RX10iv

Another pic from this cold snap: I saw this lovely Bullfinch picking at the grasses. It’s a shame he didn’t turn around, but I got a good picture of his fluffy belly 😂

On a trip with nature.with.steve on Instagram, we found a Kettle of Kites (a group of Kites is a Kettle when in flight, a Roost when resting together, a Brood if they are young Kites). There were 6 of them hunting/scavenging. Taken with the Sony RX10iv

I’ve managed to get back to the local hide and see the Kingfisher again. This was a nice shot to show the striking colours of the little bird’s plumage Taken with the Sony A7iv, 70-200mm plus 2x teleconverter
