Tané Tachyon:
I finally made muffins again after a long hiatus, having found a compact muffin pan that fit the toaster oven (no more cooking with fossil fuels for me). Note cranberry-juice lava flows streaming down from fissures between clumps of crumb topping.

Half of Tuesday-morning's plum scones with cinnamon-sugar on top, in front of my amazing petunia plant

Photo 5 of 5: I made a deconstructed plum cake, separately cooking 52 plums worth of filling and 15 sunflower-shaped cupcakes, for a choose-your-own-plum/cake-ratio change of pace, and took some portion photos with some of the backyard sunflowers.

Tuesday's blackberry-plum torte, with feral blackberries from our yard and plums from a neighbor, though as shown our plums are getting pretty ready also

This year's 4th-of-July red (strawberries), white (white peach letters), and blue(berries) (plus with lemon custard underneath) tart, on a chair in the sun, with red, white, and blue sprigs of mini roses, jasmine, and borage

This year's 4th-of-July red (strawberries), white (white peach letters), and blue(berries) (plus with lemon custard underneath) tart, with my Biden/Harris sign and solar-powered star lights
Tané Tachyon:
I wanted to make a sunflower-shaped lemon cake again, but scoop out much of the seeds disk in the middle to fill it with blueberries for a more authentic sunflower dark-center look, plus to continue to use more blueberries as they continue to ripen
Tané Tachyon:
Yet another kind of blueberry cake, sugar & cinnamon sprinkled on top, in front of the backyard plum tree (which starting next month will have more & more ripe plums just as blueberry season winds down), & yet another jade plant spreading all over
Tané Tachyon:
I put my 2020 Biden/Harris sign out front again after having seen some (ugh) Kennedy signs. Here it is with a blueberry-apricot torte (the design of which was more intricate and densely-packed before the torte expanded while baking)

This morning's hot-out-of-the-oven blueberry-lemon tart

Sunday's second pan of hot-out-of-the-oven lemon-blueberry scones with lemon-blueberry frosting, in front of more of the backyard blueberries that as they continue to ripen will take their own turns in one treat or another.

This afternoon's hot-out-of-the-oven farmers-market-apricots-and-backyard-blueberries galette in front of some backyard blackberries and mini-roses
Tané Tachyon:
Apple-cherry galette. I figured I wouldn't have time for a photo shoot because people were already waiting for slices, but then I had the idea to this time just photograph myself taking it out of the toaster oven when it had finished baking.
Tané Tachyon:
My childhood-fave "golden crown ring rolls", each roll as usual dipped in butter and then lots of cinnamon-sugar before being put in the pan to rise and then bake, each roll not as usual having two cherries hidden inside.

Hot-out-of-the-oven blackberry cake amidst the raindrops-bedecked front-yard calla lilies on this on-again-off-again rainy spring day here in Santa Cruz

Last Monday's hot apple-cinnamon-cranberry tiara cake in front of last Valentine's Day's flowers 🍎💐
Tané Tachyon:
Last Saturday's raspberry-filled scones. This time I tried pinching all around the edges like you'd do for a pie crust, to maybe make them look more fancy, but as they expanded in the oven I think it came out just making them look more lumpy
Tané Tachyon:
The hot-out-of-the-oven lemon-raspberry tart I made on Valentine's Day, which somehow looks a lot like the lemon-cranberry tart I made last Valentine's Day.

Hot-out-of-the oven maple-pecan scones. I had rolled the dough into a disc, sliced it into eight wedges, and arranged them in the pan with some space between them, but while baking they expanded to get a little more puzzle-piecey.

Cranberry-walnut pastries, hot out of the oven right before I sliced them into fourths. I'm trying to decide whether or not they have a little NSFW look to them … if so, it's not something that I had been trying for.
