The area I intend to roam in is an area of bogs and heavy forest. The bogs don't look imposeing but you won't make it across one if you try to. Water does not look all that deep but I'll gaurentee youd be in to your knees in muck!

There are at least 30 deer in this photo ( there really is ) but you probably can't spot them all. I can see one. the others are in the heavy brush on the other side of the bog and they are not letting me get close.

I am around 50 feet up on a steep bluff looking down on the other bank which has steep sides of 15 to twenty feet in places. If you slipped in here you would never get out.

Nature Center. We received ( guessing ) around 10 inches of snow. Monday I went thru the preserve and i think I was the only person there beside the rangers and employies.

I was being watched intently . In an instant all I saw was a flash of white as she disappeared into the forest.

Finally reached a place where I could cross the soft bottomed gully and not get muddy or wet. Saw a ton of whitetail deer and the forest has donned it winter wardrobe.

The indentation running through is a spring fed stream it is covered with leaves but there is maybe two inches of slow moving water below that. Logs and other objects have fallen across it and act as natural dams pooling the water causing it to stand .

I had checked out the eagles nest I decided to go deeper in. I hit my first natural block a bog area along the creek with I wasn't going to enter. There were spots that look like it could be crossed. Can be deceiving! It was at the bottom of about a drop
