Hello
Lisa Brewster:
Tomato update: bloody butcher was the earliest for me and has been exploding. Decent tomato flavor and not too sweet. My first beaverlodge slicers were weird and corked but got better after I started spraying it with the hose to knock off the whiteflies.

Strawberry szn — I have always heard that strawberries have shallow roots and therefore don’t need a deep pot. But the ozark beauties I crammed way too close in a super shallow pot never really did much. This year I researched both growing conditions (at

Finally gave up on vine ripening this Black Krim tomato (that I ambitiously planted in like September as an experiment) after it started to get attacked by ants. The plant itself has had a few spots of powdery mildew but has generally been hanging on duri

First time hosting Thanksgiving in the new house!

Another weekend, another ride. This time across the Bay Bridge, which was beautiful and soooooo incredibly windy. I had to cancel a ride before because when you’re sitting on a bike, the wind acts like a big sail and I wasn’t strong enough to pedal agains
Lisa Brewster:
Lovely long ride this weekend for brunch and casting ballots.

Happy #BikeToWhereverDay (formerly known as #BikeToWorkDay in the Beforetimes). This was from riding Alameda beach last weekend, which is a much nicer picture than riding to go pick up poke bowls tonight...which is the second errand I’ve ever done on a bi
