Paul J White: Today's little meander took me along the quayside past the old Spillers site. Gradually warming up, but there was sheet ice across the old railway tracks.
Paul J White: Still frosty patches under foot, but it's a gorgeous crisp winter day if your dressed properly! And the sandstone of St Anne's is almost glowing in the low sun. Beautiful.
Paul J White: In the bleak midwinter... No snow to lighten the mood here, just a near freezing fog that made even a short walk pretty bloody miserable. I'm done with this year, totally.
Paul J White: Sunshine and showers, but not a bad day for a walk up the Tyne. I needed the fresh air, after the laziest of boxing days where I didn't even get dressed!
Paul J White: Merry Christmas everyone. Starting the day right with the champagne of Belgian beers. Cheers! X
Paul J White: December 16th last year, ice creams in Alicante. God, I miss travel. #housebound in Heaton
Paul J White: The most inappropriately named street ever! Totally sums up today's vibe ๐Ÿ˜’
Paul J White: We should've been in Copenhagen last week. I'm really really missing travel. Last few years, winter trips with Molly have taken us to Warsaw, Berlin, Kiev and back to Prague after a 5 year absence. #travel #citybreak
Paul J White: Well this is bloody lush! A seasonal special from @northchocolates available from their website, or @109generalstore if you're lucky enough to live in Heaton :-)
Paul J White: December brings further lockdown in this wasted year. At least there's a promise of a vaccine on the horizon, but frankly I'm ready for next spring already. Fuck 2020.
Paul J White: A cold and frosty morning in NE6 - perfect for queuing outside @blocknbottle and @northern.rye ๐Ÿ˜‚
Paul J White: How very rude! #cankles
Paul J White: Fish n chip lunch then a walk on the causeway with Molly. Bracing, I think they call it! Furthest I've been from home in about 10 weeks.
Paul J White: PAUSE. REFLECT. REMEMBER #lestweforget๐ŸŒน
Paul J White: After the early fog cleared, it turned into a beautiful day. Clear blue skies, copper coloured autumn leaves, a joy to be outdoors!
Paul J White: November, and back to square one. Another national lockdown looms, but this time moving into winter, rather than the lovely spring weather of lockdown v1. Grim. Stay safe people x
Paul J White: Never mind London, when you're tired of the magnificent Tyne Bridges, you're tired of life itself ๐Ÿ˜†
Paul J White: Sunshine and showers in the ever changing Armstrong Park. #parklife
Paul J White: #therapeuticcolouring Like many people, I'm struggling with motivation and enthusiasm, with the constant barrage of COVID news and govt incompetence. But at least I've achieved something in October ๐Ÿ˜†
Paul J White: This means you! Rule One - don't be a dick ๐Ÿ˜€
Paul J White: Last chance to escape plaguey island before brexshit, snatched away. Molly and I have had a little trip for her birthday for as many years as I can remember. #firstworldproblem I know, but we're gutted. #copenhagen
Paul J White: Doesn't seem likely I'll get back to Spain this year. Passed through Madridโ€“Barajas Airport a few months ago - love this terminal designed by Antonio Lamela, Richard Rogers and Luis Vidal.
Paul J White: I really couldn't agree more!
Paul J White: I do not like how early it's starting to get dark, but trying to embrace the beauty of the autumn colours and long shadows.
Paul J White: On a filthy afternoon, where outdoors was out of the question, it was so nice to see some friends (on adjacent tables) and hang out with Molly for a few beers. Safe, friendly and well organised @theoldcoalyard :-)
Paul J White: Where did September go? And what fresh hell will October bring? I'm getting rather drained by it all ๐Ÿ˜’
Paul J White: Taking advantage of the dry sunny weather to paint the front door and bay window, before the winter sets in. Long overdue, but it's looking neat now.
Paul J White: All set for #drinkingthegradients at @LeTour 2020. The New Normal is cheeky 7.2% livener, before we get to the big slopes ๐Ÿ˜†
Paul J White: Still not many people travelling. Which makes it all the safer and more pleasant for the few that are ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Paul J White: September, and to be honest, the last week of August was starting to feel autumnal. Even as the schools return, so much hasn't got back to normal. And as the furlough scheme winds down, many are rightly worried about their jobs as we head into winter. Thi
