Even rainy days are beautiful on the Esplanade. This is from one of my favorite vantage points, in front of the Union Boathouse.

Will be sad to see this old walkway from Charles Street to the Esplanade torn down. The new one will be wider, more stable, and more attractive, but it won't have these great views of the river, Back Bay, and Cambridge.
