davidolimpio: We've been living in a house where the kids watch a lot of Caillou and where I often refer to Kaiya as Kaiya-poo. It's a little confusing...
davidolimpio: Some crazy Denver skies happening...
davidolimpio: Forgot to post this back when we still had fall. Missed it. Last night was first snow.
davidolimpio: The view from my truck when I returned from looking at rentals this afternoon...

davidolimpio: Things are turning spooky...
davidolimpio: Found.
davidolimpio: Weekend at Poudre River. Hiked with family. Made fires. Drove windy roads slowly. Caused consternation amongst cars behind me. Marshmallow roastasaurus. Burger time. Meet cute with cousin's dog.
davidolimpio: Indoctrinated Kaiya to Colorado hiking out near Red Rocks...
davidolimpio: Went to a festival with brother's fam. Despite it being sunny and warm, experienced very little in the way of sweat. Sat under a tree in cool grass and reflected on that concept. Attracted many Coloradans who upon setting eyes on Kaiya needed to pet her.
davidolimpio: Fuzz Face.
davidolimpio: Kaiya and my brother's dog Princeton are getting along swimmingly and did some team synchronized chewing the other night... Princeton still isn't sure about Kaiya's level of play, but he's getting there.
davidolimpio: I can't tell you how happy it makes me to be at a house... with a driveway... to be able to park the camper, set up a ladder, and wash the roof myself... to do house things I took for granted when I had a house with house things to do in it. I suspect thi
davidolimpio: Arrived in Denver Saturday. Crisp cool morning in Goodland. Washed the trailer, not the roof tho. Did the final empty of the black tank. Saw mountains. Got to brother's house, where there is a dinosaur in the front yard. Basked in the hot hot Denver sun.
davidolimpio: Morning walk in Salina, long shadows and tractors. Arrived in hot, sunny Goodland. Also Arrived in Mountain Time. Got food from Tequila's. Stood in front of a giant Van Gogh replica. Lots of water tongue. Heavy drippage. Saw some large empty buildings. To
davidolimpio: Crossed into Kansas, said to Kaiya, Kaiya, we are not NOT in Kansas anymore, and tonight, as if to drive home the point, there is a Tin Man at my campground. Terrain became more "western" looking west of Kansas City. As I crossed I-35 I waved south at Dal
davidolimpio: Woke up next to a cornfield. Walked along it instead of a pond to start the day. Threw some ball and got wet in the dew. Looked at the market, but only for a few. Crossed into Missouri. The entire trip has been non-stop DMB Radio Station on Sirius. This w
davidolimpio: Casey, Il.. small town full of big objects. Pictured here: rocking chair, cactus, wind chime, mailbox, taco (also where I got take-out). Also, a minion was spotted at a coffee shop.
davidolimpio: Day 3: Woke to a soft rain. Walked a different pond in a different camp. Left Ohio, through Indiana, into Illinois. Believe I have entered Heartland Territory. Roads are flatter, which my truck appreciates. Followed an 18-wheeler through Indianapolis slow
davidolimpio: Sun, then rain, then sun, then rain again. Listening to it now fall on the roof. Night two outside of Dayton, OH. Almost blew up camper last night when I lit the stove after running the gas too long. Then almost flooded the camper when I left the roof fan
davidolimpio: Scenes from a move: Leaving hot humid Philly this morning for Denver. Sweat face, in search of dryer climates. Messy, messy chaotic trailer. First stop, outside of Pittsburgh, camp site 38, an important recurring number for me so definitely a good sign. Y
davidolimpio: This was the crazy red rising moon over the Atlantic a few nights ago in LBI. Thanks @bootrundle for making it so I could take a swim in the healing, cold ocean the morning of what wouldve been my mom's 84th birthday...
davidolimpio: We love the care and special messages from @nolibsvet and we are really going to miss them when we move!
davidolimpio: Went to AC Saturday. Ate a tremendous pizza at Tony's Baltimore Grill. Met a guy named "South Philly Joe." Did not punch in tile next to a urinal. Swam in the cold cold ocean. Drank a margarita or two. Lost at slots.
davidolimpio: Found.
davidolimpio: Different places, different faces.
davidolimpio: Yesterday afternoon in West Philly was full of music and love and good vibes. Lots of great musical performances on the @weirdbardward porch. I think Kaiya was the big star tho. She had the most fun meeting new humans. Wish I could leave it at that. Sad t
davidolimpio: Profile in Heat Wave. Despite her thin coat, she tends to run hot and functions much better in cold weather, just like me. As Hunter S Thompson wrote, we've never been able to properly explain ourselves in this climate.
davidolimpio: Did some music-ing in my apartment tonight in preparation for @westphillyporchfest ...
