Having some daddy-cuddles while Jem gets some well deserved sleep.

24th September. Went to the hospital at 1:30am, Edward James Jones was born at 3:15am. Jemma was amazing and he's cute as a button. I'm a dad!

25th September. Pretty crappy nights sleep. Midwife visit in the morning then off to Currys for a microwave and Sainsburys for stuff. Had to return to Currys to get a different microwave as the first one was stupidly tiny.

26th September. Spent most of the day and night like this, trying to keep him happy and contented. Took him to town for a coffee for the first time too.

28th September. A sleepless night followed by a long snooze on daddy in the morning for Edward. Mum and Pete visited in the afternoon then off to Braintree to a clinic.

29th September. No sleep all night for Jem. 4 hours of sleeping on daddy for Edward. 4 hours of no moving for daddy. Mum and Pete visited in the morning, as did the midwife (who thinks Jemma is called Jenna, but it's gone on too long to tell her). Uncle B

7th October. Woke up to this cutie looking at me this morning after his buffet breakfast. Went to see Jem's nan and uncle in the afternoon.

10th October. Seem to spend my days like this at the moment. Can't complain!

11th October. Thought I'd try some multitasking. Household jobs whilst also carrying a sleepy baby.

14th October. Quick trip to Waitrose then just feeding the boy all day! Sunday roast at Marts n Di's with Bird.

18th October. Pub with Jem and Marts and Ed then a walk through Castle Park.

19th October. Cuddles.

20th October. First time completely alone with the boy as Jem and Di take a trip to Waitrose. Managed to keep him alive for a whole 45 minutes!

21st October. Mid-morning coffee and chats at Sam and Naomi's. Took Ed out in his snowsuit and carrier for the first time.

22nd October. Got a house to clean and a baby to entertain? Why not combine the two with one easy to use solution!

23rd October. Visit to Jem's work and lunch at Victoria's in Ipswich. She got Ed a very nice giant muslin for him to snuggle in.

24th October. Shopping and town before packing up to travel south.

25th October. Travelled down to dads. Got caught in a queue for an hour but managed to make it to South Mimms services to feed and change the boy.

27th October. Shopping in Southampton in the morning then took the boy to meet his auntie, uncle and cousin.

28th October. Travelled back home via Brown and Kat's. Steak dinner at Marts n Di's. Jem enjoyed a medicinal half of Guinness.

30th October. View from the office as Jem explains the kitchen to Ed. He wasn't impressed.

5th November. No fireworks for me n the boy. Maybe next year.

6th November. Turns out Ed shares his mothers love of Michel Roux Jr. Couldn't keep his eyes off the TV during playtime!
