Process shot. When cutting large logs into bowl blanks, I always end up with a few long, skinny blanks as a by-product. They are typically 1.5”-3” (3.8-7.6 cm) square and up to 24” (61 cm) long. I let them air dry for a year or so, then process them into

Natural-edge bowl in afternoon sun. The wood is Korean Evodia, a small flowering tree native to Korea and southwestern China. We were able to salvage some of this lovely wood from a Barnes Arboretum specimen that had to be taken down last year. :cherry_bl
