Mercer52: This is the former St. Barnabas Episcopal Church at 4237-41 W. Washington Blvd. in Chicago. It was built in 1916, Brown & Walcott, architects.
Mercer52: I noticed this building in the West Loop yesterday at Washington and Jefferson. It's been horribly altered but the red brick back there intrigued me. It turns out it was built as a powerhouse for the West Chicago Street Railroad in 1889.
