The ancient monument Gunung Kawi was carved 1000 years ago into the rock face at the bottom of a lush river valley. It's not as crowded as other temples in Bali yet it's the most awe inspiring.

One of my favourite shots diving with Mantas in Hawaii. But Mantas no longer exist! DNA sequence data has shown that the Manta genus is actually part of the Mobula genus. So the two Manta species are now Mobula birostris and Mobula alfredi (pictured here)

We are raising 4 of these flatback sea turtles to be released into the wild - fitted with tracking tags. The data collected will be used to protect this vulnerable species. At the moment though the only thing they care about is food.

A Balinese fishing boat used for catching ornamental fish, like the clown fish, for export around the world. Nearby LINI is trying to change this practice by breeding ornamental fish, and training locals in aquaculture. Thereby protecting wild populations

The sun sets into the Bali Sea, enhanced by the volcanic smog or vog lingering in the air. Meanwhile the fisherman in their Jukung head out to catch octopus and squid in the night.

I came across this massive school of Yellowstripe Trevally in the shallows at the end of a late afternoon dive. These fish are predatory and they were looking for a meal of crustaceans and small fish among the rocks.
