“Sailor Jerry” Norman Keith Collins was a famous tattoo artist in Hawaii in the 60’s. I couldn’t do a series on tattoos without honoring him. 10 X 20 acrylic on canvas. Hope you like it. The Rum is great.

Never was happy with his head and face. Proportion was wrong. He looked a little off. Hope I fixed things. Gave him a proper face and more realistic hair and hand. I promise, this is the final time I touch this painting.

Got rid of the lines. Blended the muscles for a more natural look. The 2021 rain barrel was delivered today that may keep me from working on this anymore. Have an idea for the barrel so I’ll get started on it.

The Centaur. Found the image online and liked it. 24” X 30” acrylic on canvas. Also worked on my last mermaid. Saw her breathing and realized she was just sleeping in the sun. Worked on her face. Gave her better form. Not reposting it.

Nice thing about acrylic is how easy you can change things. Shaped torso, worked on arms and head. Gave her a face, sort of. Might add a seagull in the distance to fill that negative space.
