Deborah Freeman: heading up the river, still low count on the salmon but there are some eagles, young and mature.

Deborah Freeman: Little Qualicum was lush and filled with eagles in November...now it is quiet except for the sound of rushing water, backed up by fallen trees.

Deborah Freeman: In my experience eagles don't usually fly right at you, after a point they will veer off, this one had a sibling in mind and wasn't actually paying me much attention at all.
