ewagoner: Moussaka takes hours to make and has layers of eggplant, red sauce, and white sauce. Here's the red:
ewagoner: Par-boiled sliced potatoes go on bottom. McMullan Farm had a great late harvest of some golden varieties.
ewagoner: The white sauce. Eggs from Canoe Lake & raw milk from Milky Way Farm. Yes, this sauce is a federal crime.
ewagoner: Roasted eggplant (from Dragonfly Farm) goes on top of the potatoes.
ewagoner: Then red sauce. Many ingredients, but the lamb came from Greendale Farm. Herbs from my garden.
ewagoner: After another layer of eggplant, the white sauce goes on top. Now it bakes for 45 minutes.
ewagoner: Moussaka's done! But now it has to rest.
