As I passed by, this tussock of Molinia caerulea (Purple Moor Grass) caught my eye~probably outstanding because of it's large size & wonderful autumn color.

A more unusual Autumn take of the rare Schoenus ferrugineus (Brown Bog Rush) amongst the seasonal orange of the Molinia caerulea (Purple Moor Grass)~on the lower slopes of Ben Vrackie.

On passing by I could not resist a wee look at the rather special & rare Issler's Clubmoss (Diphasiastrum complanatum subsp. issleri) near to Sandy Hillock [the common Fir Clubmoss is also featured].

Creag na Eighe~a place dear to me on two accounts; firstly as a rock climbing venue & secondly for its Rock Whitebeam trees which can be seen alongside the Rowans with their red foliage.

Sorbus rupicola (Rock Whitebeam) at Creag na Eighe with Rowan along the top of the cliffs high above Strathtay. Six Rock Whitebeam exist here.

Polygonatum verticillatum (Whorled Solomon's Seal)~so much easier to spot this rare plant at this time of year.

A closer look at the amazing Saxifraga hirculus (Marsh Saxifrage)~this has to be my favorite late season flowering wild plant.

Saxifraga hirculus (Marsh Saxifrage)~with petals fallen (here most of this seasons flowering plants were currently at this state excepting a few).
tom.mac:
Gentianella amarella subsp. septentrionalis (Autumn Gentian)~a rather stunted specimen I guess.
