Quick pic b4 heading out to 2 week follow up of surgical castration (orchiectomy). I really think I see a difference. I certainly FEEL a difference in such an amazing way.
Michaele Ashley:
Nine days following orchi… my first outing. Seeing the Van Gogh experience in NYC and having lunch at Honeybrains. Meliss drove through a tropical storm to get there, but the weather cleared. Def a big step getting out of the house!
Michaele Ashley:
Surgery success! I am no longer able to naturally produce testosterone, and I am rejoicing and recovering. Also, feeling a loss, which is hard to explain. Complex transition.
Michaele Ashley:
Now. Now, it is time.
Michaele Ashley:
Ready for my wife’s birthday party. 3 days til gender confirmation surgery ❤️

This was my outfit for our family reunion today. It felt amazing to show off who I am, and I was so more engaged with all the conversations around me. 4 days til GCS!

Michaele Ashley:
I’m 50! Who’s in this club, and what wonderful things have happened in your life after reaching this beautiful milestone?
Michaele Ashley:
This past year, I seek to find beauty in a deeply traumatized body and mind. Every time since age 5, my body fails, I overcome. I will again re-emerge stronger.
Michaele Ashley:
After months and months away from extended family, today we host Easter. So anxious about wearing a topper, but mother-in-law says at the table, “I really like your hair color, Mike!” This means the world to me.
Michaele Ashley:
Happy Thanksgiving!

The beach
Michaele Ashley:
Feeling joyful. About to head to the beach for our family’s Christmas card photo. What a year it’s been!
Michaele Ashley:
Hey there 😊
Michaele Ashley:
My own hair- no extensions, no wigs, toppers. It feels a bit “naked”, and it’s professionally styled, but I’m learning to love it. And myself.
