Flying into Sea-Tac yesterday. Mariners and Seahawks home stadiums near Elliott Bay and the Port of Seattle.
abaesel:
Reading by the fireplace and warching the chickadees and sparrows in the trees outside the window. #latefallSeattle
abaesel:
Covid clever in the Fremont neighborhood in Seattle. Masks are required in all indoor retail spaces in Seattle. So @eyesonfremont makes shopping for new frames easy and safer by providing outdoor tables and mirrors so you can check yourself out sans mask.
abaesel:
Opening act. At @flintcreek206 in the Greenwood neighborhood in Seattle. A delicious Fistful of Dollars cocktail, (gin, basil, lime, and Chareau aloe)
abaesel:
Flying over Green Lake on approach to SeaTac on Thursday. Looking out over the Ballard and Shipping Channel and locks, Magnolia, Puget Sound, and Bainbridge Island to the cloud shrouded Olympic mountains.
abaesel:
I loved this whimsically sweet mural in Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood. Seattle is a town that loves its dogs, that's for sure.
abaesel:
Mi querido. He loves nothing better than a good long walk that includes a bookstore. In Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood.
abaesel:
At the Fremont Sunday Market. Jason with a fish-shaped waffle. His: redbean paste. Mine: s'mores.
abaesel:
Fall flowers from the Sunday market. Those rose-like flowers? Ornamental cabbage. Yep, cabbage. Who knew?
abaesel:
At the Climate Pledge Arena for a @seathekraken game. A fully vaccinated, masked (most of the time), happy crowd. Go Kraken.
abaesel:
Waiting for the ferry to Bainbridge at the Seattle Ferry Terminal on a 40 degree graying-up day.
abaesel:
Sluy’s Bakery in Poulsbo, WA. Operated by the Sluy family since 1966 this spot is filled with all sorts of delicious goodies. In the “little Norway” town of Poulsbo on the Kitsap peninsula on the west side of Puget Sound. We made the pilgrimage!
abaesel:
Car with a view. On the upper car deck of the Bainbridge-Seattle waiting to leave the dock. The rains had arrived.
abaesel:
Walked up to the Kerry Park overlook to watch the sunset behind the Olympics. Great view of the City from there too.
abaesel:
Walked up to Kerry Park in Queen Anne to breathe deep and enjoy the view while the sun set. Perfection.
abaesel:
We love the VRBO we rent in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Today we enjoyed the extra perk of a curious cat peeping in while we were doing our exercises. What a sweetheart.
abaesel:
Happy being together on Thanksgiving. Our first Thanksgiving dinner at Jason's apartment. A day filled with love and laughter.
abaesel:
A gray, rainy Thanksgiving Day in Seattle. Perfect for gathering around the turkey with loved ones.

JB and me ready to chow down at our son’s place yesterday. So thankful to be together and that we all cook well together in a small kitchen! Photo by @baeseldigital
