Rich finds our hotel—Al Ponte Mocenigo (with our balcony overhead). Feels nice to be back again, the first place we ever stayed in Venice, and now our fourth time. The sestiere is very homey.

Palazzo Mocenigo. The Mocenigos were a Venetian family whose members included doges, admirals, and ambassadors; the last Mochenigo bequeathed their palazzo to the city, and it’s now a museum concentrating on Venetian fabrics, glass, and perfumes.
