I return to his room, and in the back is a shoebox "chest" with a keyhole and a clue on top leading to the back yard.

Under the stairs is a drawing indicating I need to go back upstairs, with a detail telling me to reuse the clue with the 2 rooms.

On the table in the middle of the room was another drawing, pointing to the closet under the stairs.

All I noticed was him drawing things and flitting about the house, then he hands me this. It's a map pointing to his room.

Finally got to play Nidhogg at Juegos Rancheros last night. Tons of fun. TowerFall also rocked.
