Sysrinchium sp. - Blue-eyed grass - This genus is in the Iridaceae faimily. The flowers of most of the genus are 1/4" - 1/2" in diameter.

Elaphe obsoleta - Gray ratsnake - This guy was undoubtedly foraging. I walked up and touched him and he started rattling his tail againsted the bark.

Bufo fowleri - Fowler's toad. In Allegan SGA I came across a couple hundred Fowler's Toads in a mating free for all. A swinger's party, you might say.

When I encountered this 14", second year snake, within seconds it responded by writhing and hiding it's head.
