jkay jewelry: Day of the Dots! Figuring out a way to mount the half-lentils onto a beaded kumihimo cord was fun and, of course, there are many more options to explore!
jkay jewelry: Barley texture beads
jkay jewelry: More pod play
jkay jewelry: Heirloom Cuff - This was inspired by the wide range of cuffs and bracelets in the jewelry collections of our grandmothers and great aunts. The challenge theme "Retro" brought this interpretation to mind. All polymer clay.
jkay jewelry: Black and White Pendant. For this piece I took a marquis-shaped based and formed it over a half-dome, then built the floral elements on top of that. It's on a beaded Kumihimo cord and finished with a polymer clasp (not shown).
jkay jewelry: A close-up of one of the 3 football beads on this piece
jkay jewelry: Lariat
jkay jewelry: Domed Light
jkay jewelry: Mandala Template 3"
jkay jewelry: Mandala-inspired gingerbread ornament, 3"
jkay jewelry: Fan Pull for the September Little Black Ball Challenge and inspired by TPA articles on repetition, flow, caning and contrast
jkay jewelry: Clay and Wire Intgration - no wires crossing all over the back and this is a cab, not a bead!
jkay jewelry: Layers and finishing exercises
jkay jewelry: Deco Cuff - Art Deco is the theme for this month's challenge. I made a cane based on an art deco stained glass window.
jkay jewelry: This in one of the two hearts I wired for the article in March 2014 "The Polymer Arts". This approach is so clean! No wires on the back, no crossed wires to hide the beauty on the front, and it works with any shape cab!
jkay jewelry: A set of 5 coordinating hollow lentils. The rondelle spacers with the stripes were fun, too.
jkay jewelry: Football Cabochon With Rainbow Wrap - No wires across the back! And no glue, either!
