Glenn Birks: St Giles Church, Hampton Gay, Oxfordshire Walk 203. In the churchyard there are interesting inscriptions and a memorial commemorating a rail disaster on Christmas Eve of 1874. The train came off the rails and landed in the Oxford canal. 34 people died.

Glenn Birks: Afon Leri (English River Leri) The river once flowed into Cardigan Bay at Aberleri, to the south of Ynyslas. In 1824 its route was diverted to provide a harbour for the local shipbuilding industry. Walk 201
