Reinstalling Honjo mudguards, I didn't do the original instal. Shortening eye bolts by 5mm so they are flush. Before/ after. The stays weren't bent on installation. I'm not sure if I can bend them yet, may become to short.

Shorten this sucker also. Need to get a fender washer and some leather the right thickness.

Leather washer fabrication from a value village belt. Actually a little thicker than I want, however perfect for my forks cause I recess the mounting bit a little. The o.d needs to be reduced for that application however o.d. Is good for this bike.

Leather thinning.

Leather under crown fender washer making tool I made today, from scrap tubing, a washer and a cheap socket. Works o.k.

Special washer, before and after, still need to reduce the o.d. 6mm centre hole. Belt sander and a wine cork were the tools used. Flat one side, convex on the other.

Picked up this trick from Velolumino or A.T. just last week. All this effort just for a few more mm of clearance. The original daruma bolt wasn't cut at all. Cut with a standard nut, better, this setup best. Thanks Mr. A.T.

Fender, I call them mudguards when I'm in Bicycle Specialties, reshaped with the help of a Penn 3. Probably needs a bit more tweaking.
