Starting the dropout stay fitting process. Notice my cool hose clamp jig? This is a slow and tentative fit mostly because the final look is still being determined. Changed angle on the tips, still need another 10mm insertion for the rake dimension.

Second one. These little clamps are taking a beating. I think I'm gonna have to use something else. I don't want to use an axle or a bolt and washers because I want to see the penetration in the slot. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It's just for alignment the faces for clamping and brazing. It's hard enough when the parts aren't covered in flux, and I couldn't do the same trick with the Anvil dummy axles because the two 100mm I have use different bolts.

Screwing around with different super abrasives, trying to get a decent polish. The idea is the bevel is polished and the flat is a inline scratch finish.

Holding these dropout faces by hand to bevel the edges was painful and I couldn't take it anymore, so I made these holders, now it's easy.

This height/angle/rotatable adjustable platen I made for the belt grinder is the bee's knees, which I don't actually know what that means but I heard it as a replacement for great!!!
