North Fork of the Snoqualmie River. Started painting this scene and then the mosquitos ate me alive, and I had to bail. Need to remember to bring spray.

Cape Disappointment, WA. This is the state park on the north bank of the Columbia River. The beach here is called Waikiki Beach because the ocean water mixes with warmer river water, so it’s a little warmer than the coast beaches.
