weeweebear: Day 1: The journey always starts with a flight, in this case, at 6.30 a.m (we had to leave for the airport at an unearthly hour of 4.30 a.m.).. Call me cheapskate but earliest flights are always the cheapest. =D
weeweebear: Good morning Winnipeg! The rising sun lends a tinge of red to the landscape.
weeweebear: I came, I saw, I conquered... Fort Garry Hotel, my greatest fear! Why? Cos it is haunted and I lived to tell the tale. =D
weeweebear: My special request at Fort Garry Hotel... a non-haunted room please, and as far away from that haunted room 202! =D
weeweebear: The corridor at Fort Garry Hotel kind of reminds me of the scene right out of the movie "The Shining"... creepy!
weeweebear: Lobby of Fort Garry Hotel... very old school. Hey this is after all a century old grand hotel!
weeweebear: Very grand looking dining room at the Fort Garry Hotel... another favourite haunt of ghosts.
weeweebear: Upper Fort Garry Gate
weeweebear: Winter may be approaching but the beautiful flowers outside Dalnavert Museum showed no signs of fading =)
weeweebear: Simple but sweet!
weeweebear: The "Before" and "After"
weeweebear: Bloomed and blooming
weeweebear: A little dusty and beat up but still pretty
weeweebear: Another nice bunch of flowers
weeweebear: Like almost every aspect in life, only the fittest survive.
weeweebear: Manitoba Legislative Building flanked by red, yellow, orange and green trees.
weeweebear: This scene kind of looks familiar... I think it reminds me of a wall motif typically used in a living room. =)
weeweebear: To The Forks Market to feed 2 empty stomachs... thankfully it was opened as everything else in Winnipeg was closed for Canada's Thanksgiving Day.
weeweebear: Our lunch at "The Original Pancake House" in The Forks Market - French toast arranged in the shape of a maple leaf naturally!
weeweebear: Our savory crepe at the "The Original Pancake House"... a little too oily and buttery for my liking. Haha the onions were its only saving grace.
weeweebear: Reflection of the fall colours in the Red River
weeweebear: Canadian Museum for Human Rights and Esplanade Riel
weeweebear: The Creepy Twins
weeweebear: The most important content in application forms, bills, etc. is always written in fine print. Same... what is so big deal about this place can also be found in fine print. =D
weeweebear: St Boniface Cathedral... I like how the creepy trees and black iron wrought gates give it a gothic feel
weeweebear: With such a scenic path, glad I made the right choice to do a longer unplanned walk along the Red River
weeweebear: Branches that look like shrivelled fingers
weeweebear: Queen Elizabeth Way, across the Red River
weeweebear: Gloomy skies compensated by a bright smile turns an otherwise not-so-nice pic nice! =)
weeweebear: The Forks "Meeting Place" facing the Assiniboine River
