"Mommy, for my birthday tomorrow I want a chocolate cake with farm animals on it and the good kind of icing" It's not fancy kid, but it tastes good, it's made with love and meets your criteria. And there's no fondant on it.

The Great American Spotted Baby. The rash/blisters now cover 70+% of his body, even including the inside of his ears, mouth, and diaper area. He is one cranky little pumpkin.

On the menu tonight: dungeness crab ravioli with asparagus, mushrooms and a garlic kalamata balsamic cream reduction. I love relaxing nights at home cooking with my love.

Baby wearing during our hike and then a clumsy run on uneven wet pavement means I can barely move. Muscles I didn't even realize existed hurt. I'm utterly exhausted but find even the mere thought of climbing the stairs daunting.

The first day it's been warm enough to go on a hike. Sadly, most of the trails were still pretty ice covered.

It's only the 3rd, and I'm already running out of ideas for Scout. Was in bed before I remembered he hadn't been relocated.

Poor child. Around 85% of the hair he was born with has fallen out in the most unfortunate pattern. It appears to be growing back in much lighter.

Have managed to trick the older two into going to bed before 8 with promises that they can play a geography game on the iPads. Solo parenting night WIN thanks to my nerdy children.
