First pry the nameplate off

Then unscrew and remove the retainer for the top tab

Unscrew a hex-nut from the main shaft

And then you can lift out a retainer and washer

A screw holds the shifters together

Once you remove the screw you can lift off the downshift lever

There's another nut and washer underneath the downshift lever

The washer is under the nut

And now you can remove the sleeve that fits around the rachets

And start to see the masses of solidified grease that fill the shifter

A black plastic collar holds down one end of a rachet spring

And keeps it from tearing out the Flightdeck wiring

Another spring helps with the upshift lever
