ttcopley: Take 'em off and put them somewhere where they are sure to accompany the bike!

ttcopley: Be sure to remember to mark seat post position with tape before removal

ttcopley: Snug up the seat post collar binder bolt so the collar doesn't fall off in transit
ttcopley: Loosen bolts holding stem to steerer tube
ttcopley: Remove stem cap bolt
ttcopley: Remove top spacer
ttcopley: Lift handlebar and stem off steerer tube
ttcopley: Put spacers and cap back on steerer tube for safe keeping
ttcopley: Place frame, fork, and stem/bars in box
ttcopley: Begin adding other things into the box
ttcopley: Keep piling crap in
ttcopley: Place the next layer of foam padding
ttcopley: Box with bike + crap loaded, ready for wheels.
ttcopley: Wheels placed
ttcopley: Might as well keep your options open
ttcopley: With top foam layer inside top lid, close box
ttcopley: Do up side buckles on opposite corners first, taking care that the sides of the box fully close before tightening
ttcopley: Do up the other side buckles, cinching down tight
ttcopley: Do up the remaining three large straps, again cinching down tight. Go around the box making sure all straps are good and tight.
