A year ago last night I hiked up to Marions lookout on cradle mountain Tasmania. This was the start of trying to get fit and into more remote areas of Tassie. Milky way now, galactic core, Saturn rising, zodiacal light, green airglow and small aurora Aus

Been after an eagle shot for year's but I just don't have the right lens, it didn't matter on the summit of Ben Lomond as this wedge tail got within 5ft of my face. An amazing bird to so close in its own habitat

48 shot Pano. 3 rows of 16 photos to make this Pano, much better in here than Instagram or Facebook due to the long edge size.

An owl comes to visit. Very lucky to have this cool owl come to see what I was up to whilst shooting the galactic core with this dead tree. He is small in the pic as I was shooting very wide but he looks cool.

3 images from the hike up Higgs track I returned from yesterday, it was truly stunning up there. The 1 foot of snow on our final night certainly made the trip even more special.
