Manon - going through one of the creek's in Lexington reservoir, picking up beer cans, cigarett butts, broken glass... there is an insane amount of broken glass, very dangerous for the fish, birds and other wild life that depend on the environment here.

Just one of many rusted aluminium cans that we picked up along the way. Note how dry the reservoir is ! The county has authorized the draining of the reservoir... something to do w/ quarrying... but not sure - need to check.

Badlands - this is the current state of the Lexington reservoir...

Death in the Badlands - very sad, there were 3-4 dead birds; I'm thinking that it's somehow related to the lack of water, and therefore lack of fish, but there's no way to tell for sure.

Death in the Badlands II - The decision to drain most of the reservoir for new infrastructure and repair work on the pipeline seems to have had a dire effect on the wild life that has grown dependent on the eco-system provided here.

Rescue - there was a fire starting in the santa cruz mountains; a helicopter started collecting what little water is left to start fighting the fire
