Mark 1/4" from top edge of two pocket pieces

Run a thin line of Elmer's washable school glue (or other sewing glue) inside of the line you marked.

Put the ribbon along the edge so it just barely covers the line you marked

Use a dry iron on med. heat to dry the glue
Sheila Honeycutt:
Stitch along the edge of the ribbon
Sheila Honeycutt:
Use thread that matches the ribbon

Fold the ribbon to the back
Sheila Honeycutt:
Press to crease
Sheila Honeycutt:
Stitch down along the other edge of the ribbon

Mark a line where you want to divide the front pocket and pin

Pin either side of the center fold on the big piece

Unfold the center piece and lay flat with the outside facing up

Lay the joined pockets face down.
Sheila Honeycutt:
Overlap about 1/2"
Sheila Honeycutt:
Stitch about 1/2" from edge
Sheila Honeycutt:
Flip the pockets over so they are right side up.
Sheila Honeycutt:
Keep going
Sheila Honeycutt:
...until the outside pocket is right-side up
Sheila Honeycutt:
Align both edges and pin.
