Sharlini: Mama Zebra Dove nesting in orchid pot.
Sharlini: Mama Zebra Dove nesting in orchid pot. May have been the one that had two eggs that failed to hatch last year. This year, one out of two hatched successfully!
Sharlini: The one that made it.
Sharlini: Emerging feathers. I want a macro lens......
Sharlini: Looking like the head of a Sasquatch/Yeti.
Sharlini: Baby Zebra Dove looking alien-like.
Sharlini: Beak in focus!
Sharlini: How can this cute mug be mistaken for the head of a Sasquatch/Yeti?
Sharlini: "Once I have the ability to fly, I'm leaving her my poop to photograph. Hahahaha."
Sharlini: Feeling sleeeeepppyyyy....
Sharlini: "Maybe if I closed my eyes, she'll disappear!"
Sharlini: I keep thinking that red dot below the eye is a tick. XD
Sharlini: Not quite extreme close-up. Zebra doves don't have eyelashes.
Sharlini: Baby Zebra Dove looking annoyed.
Sharlini: Taken on the 9th of June 2010. Feathers not quite out yet.
Sharlini: The arrangement. Silver egg cup to put rice grains in so that Mama Zebra Dove doesn't go hungry.
Sharlini: Very underexposed, tried tweaking with iPhoto.
Sharlini: Taken on the 10th of June. At least 8 days since hatching. Feathers have emerged.
Sharlini: Had to lift pesky orchid leaf and the pot was moving. Thank goodness this chick can't fly yet.
Sharlini: The nest...very accessible.
Sharlini: A feathery portrait of a Family.
Sharlini: Mama and baby
Sharlini: Every time I clicked, the Mama would raise its head to look at me.

Sharlini: All cropped...too many wires around.
Sharlini: Only a matter of time before they both fly away.
Sharlini: I'm sure something changed if you compared to the previous photo. =)
