This interesting looking car is a Skoda Spider. 1100cc, 92 BHP and DOHC. 395 UXU was taking part in the 2011 Monte Carlo Rally, seen in George Square, Glasgow, Scotland. Never seen one before or since.

This is a Class 50 locomotive, somewhere in the West Country of England in 1982. Surprisingly, Class 50, 50 008 'Thunderer' returned to service in June 2021 and is still working! It started as D408 in 1968.

More military surplus at the Gunsmoke Paintball site in Hadleigh. What are these things? I Googled it and they are GKN Saxon APCs. Introduced in 1983, but since withdrawn- we've supplied a bunch to Ukraine and have 147 in the UK reserves.

As a bit of a petrolhead, I hope this early Porsche 911 was saved. It was outside at California City RAP, CA. The back of it has clearly been on fire.

The BMP is a pretty fast, and decent APC. This Kazakh example takes part in KADEX 2018 at Astana, Kazakhstan. The little ridges along the front are to deflect bullets.

In the days of the Raj- the British rule of India- well born girls would come out to India to marry British Officers. This frankly beautiful memorial in the chapel at Fort St.George, Madras (now Chennai) commemorates one such Union.

34067 'Tangmere' is one of the Southern Railways 'Battle of Britain' class locos to have been preserved. Seen here at Crewe. Quite a sight, I thought!
