This is F-104C 56-936 but painted up as 56-808 which was an F-104A lost in service with the Republic of China, ie Taiwan, Air Force.

QU-22 in Duffs yard 2007. It's stored with Mr. Duff at the old Stapleton Airport in Denver. The yard is cleared now, but I hope this rare aircraft was saved?

Ex USN Bu.Aer 23806 and 29639 are two of many Beech 18/ C-45s in Duffs yard near the old Denver Stapleton Airport in 2007. The airport was already closed when I visited. Now, some years later, the genial Mr. J.W. Duff has passed away and his yard cleared.

This ex Texas ANG KC-97 (minus its left wing) is in use as a restaurant in Colorado. 53-283.

The yard of JW Duff in Denver, Colorado was a fascinating place to visit. This is one of 11 ex US Army U-8D,G & RU-8D seen there in 2007. Thanks to Andrew Rodriguez, who left a useful comment below, we can know that this one is RU-8D 57-6082. Thanks :-)

This T-37B was dismantled and left near the yard entrance at Mr. Duffs place in downtown Denver, CO. 60-187 last noted here in March 2015.

I only noted one Beech AT-11 Kansan in Mr Duffs yard, 41-27516 N6671C. Hope it survived.

Typical of the many Beech 18s in Mr JW Duffs yard in Denver, CO is N9328Z. This one turned out to be an ex USAF C-45H 52-10611. Probably a couple of new engines in those eggs!

A line of eight Cessna O-1 Bird Dogs in JW Duffs yard. It seems five were saved when the yard was cleared, and can now be found at Greely-Weld RAP.

This ex US Army RU-21A has been named 'Lonesome Dove' for some reason. 67-18115 is seen in Duffs yard in 2007, but it was saved from here when the yard was cleared.

JW Duffs yard in Denver had a thing for Beech 18s. There were lots present, but not all ex mil. This line of three, headed by Bu.Aer 29639 are ex US Navy UC-45Js.

I'd never seen a two seat MiG-17 before coming across this modest looking jet at Jefferson County RAP in Colorado. It turned out to be an ex China Shenyang J-5, c/n S51604. NX905DM.

Mr Duff had eight Cessna O-2As in store at Greely Weld RAP near Denver CO. N3018T came here straight from the Boneyard. It's ex 68-10967, l/n here in 2012. It's formerly Michigan ANG.

This ex CA-NG T-42A Cochise flies on its old US Army colours. 65-12685 is N41549 although you wouldn't know it. Photographed at Jefferson County RAP, Colorado in 2007. It's a militarised Beech 95-B55 which was used for instrument flying training.

This Vigilante is RA-5C Bu.Aer 151629. It's preserved in Pueblo Memorial, CO.

This HC-131A is USCG 5794. Also ex USAF as 52-5794. It's also flown as N3999P. Preserved in the museum at Pueblo Memorial, Colorado.

Not many of these left. This Douglas Skyray, an F-6A is preserved outside at Pueblo, Colorado. Bu.Aer 134936/ 7K-114 is still there as of 2021.

Here is F-111F 70-2408 "CC" City of Santa Fe, preserved in Santa Fe, NM. I expect most of us had seen it during its days with 48TFW at Lakenheath. looking a lot better in tri-colour camo'. I never liked the o/a gray scheme as much...

Great looking F-104C Starfighter preserved at Peterson AFB, Colorado. It's not 56-0808, which was an F-104A that flew for Taiwan, but 56-0936 an ex USAF C model.

This F-101B Voodoo was secured here as Peterson AFB remodelled their Main Gate. 58-274 seems to have ended up preserved somewhere else on the base.

This beautifully presented ex Canada CF-101B Voodoo, 101044 is at Peterson AB Museum, Colorado. It's ex USAF 57-0381.

Another smartly presented early jet on display in Colorado is this NA Sabre. 53-782 is a late model F-86L, often known as a Sabre Dog. Note the lowered tray for air-to-air rockets under the cockpit.

Nice to see a big a/c like a Constellation being looked after properly. Here EC-121T 52-3425 is seen preserved at Peterson AFB, Colorado.

Not many Lockheed F-94 Starfires seem to have survived. This is a F-94C, 50-1006 preserved at Peterson AFB, Colorado.

Very smartly presented Convair F-102A Delta Dagger preserved at Peterson AFB, Colorado. It's 56-1109.

How this Italian Chopper ended up here isn't known, to me anyway. MM80328 is an ex Italy AF AB.204B. Seen here in the scrapyard of J.W.Duff in Denver, CO.

A view into the yard of J.W.Duff quite near the old (and shut) Stapleton airport in Denver. UB043 is 57-3085. l/n here in 2010. This place is gone now, so glad to have had a rake around.

This F-100F Super Sabre was one of a few jets parked around the USAF Academy at Colorado Springs, CO. 56-3730 is still there I expect.

The old Denver airport- Stapleton, is located in the city. It had closed and everything was being re-developed in 2007. This GB-52F was abandoned nearby. 57-0048 was l/n here in 2015.
