RachelB3: My adventure begins. Waiting by the side of the road in Gaborone, Botswana with all of my belongings. I think I made campus security a little nervous.
RachelB3: Ah. Fresh air and a hot afternoon. Perfect time for a walk while the animals aren't prowling.
RachelB3: If something happens to me, there's an emergency radio in my backpack.
RachelB3: Ominous thorn tree
RachelB3: zebra is saying, "what the..?"
RachelB3: Ruan - "Plants are older than animals. Plants didn't used to have thorns until animals arrived." And he also said something about trees talking to each other which I'm going to have to look up.
RachelB3: hard to get a shot of a butterfly. especially when there's rustling in the brush behind you.
RachelB3: Here's where the heart started pumping. There's a large herd of elephant in those trees. It's feels very different when you are not in a Land Rover.
