These eight pictures here were shot today with my latest old manual focus Nikkor Lens. The legendary 28-45mm f:4.5 AI Zoom from the late 70's. It's clear that this is as sharp as they get even today with beautiful colors.

Nice sharpness at all f stops. Some say this lens flares so bad they can't take any pictures at all with it ? I don't have the hood yet so I didn't use one at all and I am looking into the sun a bit.

This lens has Nikkors legendary Nikon Super Integrated Coatings applied and is of the AI era so it must be from the late 70's and only 20,000 were made.

Sharp as many other lenses I own but this one only cost me 98 bucks ,,108 with shipping from Arizona,by the way if you want perfectly preserved lenses from the long ago past. Arizona is the place to get them. It's dry.

Not a serious picture just put it on my D2Xs. The lens is a 1970's Nikkor 28-45mm f 4.5 AI Zoom. Have we really gotten better at making lenses ?

The first pictures from this old 70's zoom. This one goes right into my bag for sure. I would feel very comfortable making poster sized prints from this lens anytime ! The people who designed this lens are all dead now but they knew what they were doing.
