Michael Spady: This plaque commemorates the founding of Bethel College, which was on the site where the Bethel Church now stands. Bethel is a ghost town now, the Church and nearby gymnasium the only surviving structures.

Michael Spady: A scene in the Miller Church Cemetery
Michael Spady: Miller Church and Cemetery. Richard Miller donated a part of his 1847 land claim to the community of Aquiba for use as a cemetery, in 1860. The church, built in 1882, features a sloped floor and pews from an earlier local church.

Michael Spady: Hopewell Community Church in Yamhill County, Oregon. I don't know the age of the building but the cemetery is well over 100 years old, containing the graves of pioneers who migrated to Oregon as early as 1843.
