May Institute: Thanks to our Facilities Staff - our little ones have their very own fully stocked Mud Kitchen!
May Institute: Our Mud Kitchen is in the upper playground under a tent for shade.
May Institute: We have two long counters, and plenty of room to work.
May Institute: A special thanks to everyone who donated kitchen tools and cookware to allow us to cook nearly anything as long as it is made with mud!
May Institute: We also have storage under the counters for our dishes, pots and pans.
May Institute: With two working kitchen sinks, we have the opportunity to wash everything we use. We are learning a great deal about how to take care of ourselves.
May Institute: Cooperation is one of the big lessons at this age, and the boys are helping clean up after the first round of mud making.
May Institute: And when our sinks run over, it just soaks into the playground - a perfect solution.
May Institute: Even the littlest of the kids can reach the sinks and counter.
May Institute: We get to learn about such things as what a colander is for - and how the holes allow the water to run in and out.
May Institute: Nothing is better than a big batch of mud tea on a hot day.
May Institute: Or if you are not a mud tea fan, we can brew some mud coffee for you.
May Institute: Our kitchen island gives us extra room for the dishes that take a great deal more prep and attention.
May Institute: Every one of our preschool students found the mud kitchen to be a delight.
May Institute: Here, can I help you with those dishes?
May Institute: What fun to have running water whenever we need it. As you can tell, even in the Mud Kitchen, our kids are remarkably clean.
May Institute: Can I pour you a cup?
May Institute: Delight was the sounds during our test run of the new Mud Kitchen.
May Institute: It is hard to know what are the dishes being made and what is the muddy water to clean with...
May Institute: Our sink seems to be slowing down - perhaps we should call Facilities to clear it out?
May Institute: Nothing is more delicious than a thick mud stew.
May Institute: Our large mock stove has plenty of burners to satisfy even the most picky Mud chef.
May Institute: Measuring ingredients is always a good idea.
May Institute: May I pour you a cup?
May Institute: Oh - this smells very muddy! Perfect.
May Institute: Now what?
May Institute: Is this pot clean or dirty?
May Institute: Let me wash up first.
May Institute: Who left the sink so dirty?
May Institute: Let me wash up now.
