Mark Myerson: Every so often, the River Exe decides to chill out. Despite the estuary being right near the coast, this stretch of the river sometimes appears completely still, like glass. This image was taken on a fairly still day, a few weeks ago. There are slight su

Mark Myerson: Towards the Estuary
Mark Myerson: Glorious evening light!
Mark Myerson: We couldn't go through the whole autumn without a drop of rain... 😉

Mark Myerson: Even if yellow isn't your colour, it would be hard to dislike the sunny burst of vibrancy that is Common Toadflax. I spotted this little specimen clinging to a bridge over the River Otter.
Mark Myerson: More from Sidmouth - this time looking down from Jacob's ladder. The view from up there on a sunny day is hard to beat.
Mark Myerson: Apologies for the lack of posts recently - I was busy taking photos and helping @notlivinginnewyork with @igersexeter. I will recommence with this shot, taken a few weeks back in Sidmouth's Connaught Gardens.
Mark Myerson: Sidmouth on a blue-sky day. Pretty, isn't it?
Mark Myerson: It was amazing to watch this beautiful horse prancing through the waves on Sidmouth beach.

Mark Myerson: More from the Castle Drogo estate.
Mark Myerson: Castle Drogo's gardens are both exquisitely designed and pleasingly organic. At this time of year, the colours are magnificent.
Mark Myerson: I like places that make me feel small and insignificant. I'm forever searching for that type of awe.

Mark Myerson: Nature makes some beautiful things.
Mark Myerson: Sometimes, it can be difficult to see the wood for the trees. In this case, I couldn't care less.
Mark Myerson: I am never happier than when I am exploring a beautiful new place with my Helen.
Mark Myerson: Fingle Bridge has provided a crossing point over the brook of the same name since the 17th century.

Mark Myerson: Green is my favourite colour. No wonder the verdant Teign valley appeals.
Mark Myerson: Helen and I went to Castle Drogo on Dartmoor, and walked along the River Teign. We ate our lunch while admiring the forested valley. We stayed for quite a while after the food was gone.
Mark Myerson: The resident Exmoor ponies of the Bystock Pools nature reserve.
Mark Myerson: I recently started volunteering with the work party at my local nature reserve, Bystock Pools. Great people, and highly knowledgeable, too.
Mark Myerson: This seems to have been a good year for Commas. I found this one in the hedgerows along the Exe Estuary cycle path.
