We took a train to Siuntio and launched in the river near the train station to paddle upstream. Tjusträsk lake turned out frozen in the middle.

After 4 hours of gaining potential energy in rather dense bush along the river we arrived at the old mill of Myllykylä.

We found our campsite on top of a hill overlooking the river. The night was spent by Joni's twig stove.

Good morning! The night was quite cold, min -6C. It's not statistically cold in the end of March. It just felt so in my +7 C comfort summer bag. My vapour blocking bivi pitch didn't help much.

Joni firing his twig stove. My Primus gas looks lame there. Normally I'd use diy alcohol stove on summer trips but I couldn't find it this time.

Then started Skogsforsen, the Amazon of Siuntio. Someone might prefer it maintained but I really like it natural.
