Homeowners like Patricia went green and saved money with a combination of financial services and home repairs from the Green Block Build Program. LISC leveraged $390,000 in repairs including 21 new cool roofs for 59 low-income homeowners.

The West Philadelphia Fresh Food Hub connects Mantua residents with healthy, affordable, fresh, and local food, otherwise unavailable in the neighborhood. Over 15,000 customers visited the truck in 2012, which supported 4 part-time jobs.

Philadelphia LISC opened its first two Financial Opportunity Centers in the summer of 2012, which assisted Mirabel Ortiz in finding a job. So far, over 100 people have taken advantage of FOC services and 18 of them have found employment.

The Paseo Verde transit-oriented development in Eastern North will include 120 new housing units and 30,000 square feet of community space, which will house a LISC Financial Opportunity Center, a federally qualified health center, and office space.

In 1999, LISC helped APM bring Cousin's Supermarket to the heart of Eastern North. The $4.9 million development created 75 new jobs. APM and LISC celebrated paying off the mortgage this past summer.
