Stupidity This area of grassland was set alight by idiots letting off illegal fireworks on New Years Eve, despite a total fire ban and a day where we had 40c temperatures. Fortunately it was extinguished quickly and caused no major damage.

Water play. We had our family Christmas/New year picnic at Lake Weeroona in Bendigo today. The weather started out lovely, 25c, nice breeze. Then the thunder arrived, followed by lots of rain. Harrison that a blast playing in the resultant puddles.

Tired. I am continuing to play with different lighting. Tonight I used a Ledgo 150 LED panel dialled down to a fairly low power level. I still had to adjust the light level in post processing as the left side of the base ball was a little to hot.

A kings feast Today, I dug out my old Fuji Xs1. Have been feeling fed up with the lack of a decent macro for my Nikon. One of the things that the Fuji absolutely excels at is macro.

Lighting the cube Tonight I decided to play with lighting again. practicing exercises from "light right". Used off camera flash. F11, 1/250th and flash at 1/32 power.
