Arachne2003:
April Lind painter - does anyone know the bobbin maker?
Arachne2003:
I think this one has a US origin, an Arachne exchange in the1990s. Courtesy of the wayback machine I think it could be an Eric Stevenson, Bobbins by Aries.
Arachne2003:
Bone with transfer print, probably 1990s from UK
Arachne2003:
A lovely silky feel, UK 1990s. unknown maker.
Arachne2003:
one of a pair, UK, highly polished finish.
Arachne2003:
Unknown 5, UK
Arachne2003:
Beautiful painting on black lacquered finish bobbin. UK, possibly. Stevenage Lace day 1990s?
Arachne2003:
Unknown maker, note very tiny top to head.
Arachne2003:
unknown painter & maker. UK.
Arachne2003:
unknown UK maker. Lovely satin finish.
Arachne2003:
This is a recent one bought in the last few years.
Arachne2003:
recent purchase, a traditional style but I think it is modern. UK, unknown.
Arachne2003:
Another modern bobbin in a traditional style, UK, unknown.
Arachne2003:
I think this is the same maker as the other "traditional" modern bobbin. UK
Arachne2003:
Could be a Richard Ives, but tail is wrong. UK.
Arachne2003:
Another bought in the 1990s. One suggestion was Tim Parker, another, Biggins, but the head is wrong for both.
Arachne2003:
This is recent, and I have still forgotten the painter. the bobbin could be turned by Malcolm Thorpe? Fenland Lacemakers had an anniversary and lace day bobbin from them.
Arachne2003:
Could be the same maker & painter as the last one?
Arachne2003:
Anita Wilkinson motif from a Lester handkerchief. I started at the top rather than at a sensible point, and keeping the rows in the rose flat was a pig.
Arachne2003:
Two bookmarks from Barbara Underwood's books.
