We had cloudy skies for the lunar eclipse but we did catch glimpses of it. It was soooooo difficult to see. Very dim, barely visible. This photo was taken when I couldn’t see anything through the viewfinder. I left my shutter open to capture as much light

So I mounted my camera to my telescope and finally figured out how to get a photo of the moon in that configuration! Sooooo much easier than that cell phone mount. I had a hard time focusing but this is straight out of the camera no editing. 😍

Spent a good chunk of time outside looking through the telescope tonight. Tried to capture it with my cellphone mounted on it but had such a difficult time getting it to frame up properly. Need a better mount? More practice? Just used my real camera…:laug

From today on Mt. Diablo. The drive up to the summit was twisty and made Nathan queasy. And the summit was hooooot. So when we got to Rock City Nathan sat it out with Alan keeping him company. Isabelle enjoyed it thoroughly. Nathan not as much. 😆
